[S]ome people see SEO like global warming: maybe it’s happening, maybe it’s not. While our team fully admits that Search Engine Optimization seems very much like “the dark arts,” not only can you see results in your analytics dashboard, but you SEO naysayers need only start off with small tweaks to start seeing business results. If you spend any amount of time with our team you will hear us talking about tips on how to SEO your website. So here’s another one.

While I personally use the Google Keyword Planner a great deal, I don’t always have enough time to slow down and use it. Between slurps of coffee and the phone to my ear, I will just go to Google and start typing the phrase that I have in mind. See the images below:

In this instance, I wanted to get a quick keyword idea for the phrase website design. In this search, there are two key phrases that I found quite valuable. If I were blogging about website design I would probably try and work one or two of the phrases into my posts. That way I would have better odds of reaching people who are searching with these phrases. Ever do a search and you keep coming up dry so you try different phrases then suddenly the clouds part, the angels sing, and the perfect content is before you? Yes, that. Different phrases give the searcher different results. It’s so great when your business comes up in a potential customer’s search. Just like Christmas for the bottom line.
